We Are Feeling Lucky - Why and How

We are TOTALLY infused about Greenville's bid to get Google to bring their Google Fiber for Communities project to our home base.  If you don't know what it's all about, go check out www.WeAreFeelingLucky.com - go ahead, we'll be here when you get back.....

OK, back with us?  Good.  So, why are we at Infusion "feeling lucky"?  Well, for one thing, our business is dependent on the availability of reliable, high-speed Internet connections.  That's what allows us to do what we do.  Anything that increases both the speed and the availability of the Internet in our home town is a good thing for us.  Google has said that their fiber optic network will be open for other network providers to use - which means increased competition - and as you know, we believe in competition.

When Web Application X came along, it was dutifully announced by Big Name Web Company (unless it came from Unknown Web Company, in which case, don't worry - they'll be bought by Big Name Web Company soon enough) - and here's where our story gets really predictable.

I was delighted to be asked to share a little bit of what I've learned about the Google Wave platform at the December 8, 2009 meeting of Social Media Club Greenville. We managed to cover a lot of ground, and there's plenty more to cover beyond. If you have a Wave account and want to check out the waves I used, you can see them here -
